Call for Artworks/Projects for Online Exhibition
The Arts Health Network NSW / ACT (AHNNA) is calling for artists, designers, researchers, therapists, creative practitioners and others to submit artworks, projects or process documentation for an online exhibition to be held over November 2020 on the AHNNA website and social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
The theme of the online exhibition is the role the Arts play in the process of recovery. This can be the recovery from physical or mental events, but also more broadly from communal and/or societal situations such as the recent floods, bushfires, pandemic or even economic recession, to name just a few examples.
This virtual Art event will be called ‘The Making Effect’, and will run as a website and social media channel take-over for the month of November, with new works/projects/research being published throughout the month.
How to submit
Participants will be asked to submit a digital image of the artwork(s) or project and/or a link to the video or sound file if more appropriate.
- Images should be at least 900 pixels wide and submitted as RGB .jpeg files.
- Video files should be 1920 x 1080 pixels and saved as .mp4 files onto a video platform such as YouTube or Vimeo. Only the link to the video file needs to be submitted to AHNNA for exhibition.
- Sound files should also be hosted on a sound platform such as SoundCloud and submitted to AHNNA for exhibition as a link.
Contributors will also be invited to complete a written interview about each work/project which will be published alongside the artwork/project image/video/sound file on the website and social media channels. It is also possible to include a link to other forms of information such as a video of the artist/author speaking about the work.
Participants will also be asked to agree to AHNNA publishing digital copies of each work on their website and social media channels for the duration of the event, and possibly beyond.
Interested artists should contact the program art curator Linden Wilkinson via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 0409 651 403 to discuss their interest and work(s).
Submissions must be received by the 31.10.2020
